ST. GEORGE'S INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT,
BERMUDA

St. George's Airport is Bermuda’s single facility for all of Bermuda’s air traffic. Both runway approaches are located in surrounding waters

This project was designed to ICAO standards and comprised a new FEC building, installation of guidance signs, elevated and inset runway and taxiway lighting. ALSAF, AFL PAPIS, elevated threshold, SSALR approach system, wind socks and a new AFL control system. A new high mast apron flood lighting system on concrete foundations comprising 80 foot poles was constructed at the terminal apron.

As the project prime contractor, JSM was responsible for all excavating, backfilling and surface restoration in asphalt and concrete. JSM's own forces coordinated all airfield activity with Air Traffic Control utilizing VHF radio. The project, including all testing and commissioning, was completed on schedule without disruption to airport operations.
