COre science facility, MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY

Memorial University of Newfoundland, Atlantic Canada’s largest university with over 18,000 students, is building a new Core Science Facility to address the Faculty of Science’s growth needs with a state-of-the-art research, laboratory, and teaching facility.

JSM has been contracted to provide this 5-storey,  470,000 ft2 building with lighting and controls, power distribution, life safety systems, emergency and critical power systems, security and communications, IT infrastructure, general power, commissioning and turnover. The facility is a LEED Silver targeted project and has recently received Newfoundland's first Gold Seal certification by the Canadian Construction Association.
